The Brewerton Fire Department, Inc. is proud to serve the community at the western end of Oneida Lake in northern Onondaga County, New York. Our fire protection district spans approximately 23 square miles of land and is complemented by an equally significant area of water on Oneida Lake.

Our district is home to a mix of residential neighborhoods, commercial areas, and vital infrastructure. Within our protection area you’ll find:

  • Major Transportation Routes – Portions of Interstate 81, U.S. Route 11, and the CSX railroad line
  • Waterways – Oneida Lake, the Oneida River, and New York State Canal Lock #23
  • Community & Commercial Sites – Several marinas, the Brewerton Speedway, Oneida Shores County Park, hotels, apartments, strip malls, fuel storage facilities, and manufacturing operations

This diverse landscape means our members respond to a wide variety of emergencies — from residential and commercial fires, to vehicle accidents, water rescues, and hazardous materials incidents.
